This project all started with two wooden checkers in a bin of little wood pieces. I needed an idea for the Anything Goes challenge at Re-cycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent but I was stumped until I saw the checkers. They looked like wheels and the rest followed from there. The tin is a recycled gift card holder. The background is a recycled puzzle, the bars on the cage are wooden skewers. The image is a CS Designs digital image coloured with Prismacolor pencils. The banner is hand cut, glued to baker's twine, and decorated with alpha stickers. Gears and nailhead stickers were added to the wheels and a clock key to the side. The sentiment is computer-generated and the sign is an internet image. Love altering stuff...so fun! Just so you know, Pirouette can never be held captive by a mere circus cage. She's a free spirit.
