I'm not really a sketch person, so I love it when a sketch really inspires a card. I took a quick peek at the earliest sketches before work this morning, and as soon as I saw SC06 I had an idea for my niece's birthday card.
A2 base, brown card.
I even had scraps of this Memory Box paper just the right size - after cutting the angled bit and the ribbon, I stitched all round the edges.
The tag is a Sizzix die cut from watercolour card. I used masking, and coloured with distress inks. Positioning the tag in the pocket, I was able to mark where to stamp the sentiment so that it would be hidden by the tag.
The bottom corner looked a bit empty so I added some QuicKutz mushrooms.

Ahhh, adorable!!! Your niece will love this jaunty creation. That sewing is so fun and I love the dotted mushrooms in the corner. Thanks for joining the anniversary party with us.

I loved this sketch, but just looking at it scared me today. You did a wonderful job. You are so detailed. I love the stitching and also loved that you matched the ribbon and the mushrooms. Cool!
