Today's TLC challenge is to combine a technique with another challenge card.
I chose to case a card from Queen Mary Allice, a/k/a ladybug91743. I chose the card inserted in the bottom of the folder for the water technique Mary Alice used. Hers is so much better than what I accomplished!!!
First, I used 3 different colors of Colorbox Ink (think that's where I made my mistake; shoulda used dye inks!), then, I soaked my crackle background stamp in water and stamped. Let it dry and it didn't look too good, so I added some bleach and still didn't get the results I wanted. I ironed the back of the paper. I actually think it would have made a great sky background, but by now, I had stamped and colored the angel fish and had so much time in it, I decided to go with it.
That's Sand Flower Soft on the sea bottom and I used my cricut to cut out the sea weed.
This set, Oh Crab, is being featured on this the last day of the MFP Blog Hop. See my blog for lots of beautiful cards made by the design team using this cute set!
Hey, I TRIED! Mary Alice, thanks for all your kind comments and a gorgeous gallery to check out! Hope I didn't embarass you too much!
Have a great day....I'm waiting for 14 tons of gravel for my driving space.

I love these little fish.... I think that the background is really good, looks like the different depts of the water and how it can appear. Thanks so much for sharing....

Terrific card to honor Marie-Alice, Vicky. The bg is wonderful, but it is the little fish that captured my eye. They look like those "neon vivid" ones you see in aquariums.

Well, we both had a hard time, I guess, with our cards today. But, I must say, your background looks awesome to me. And, I can tell the fish love it. :-) Super card! Oh, that's lots of gravel you're getting.

Vicky thank you so much for the wonderful compliment and for taking the time to case one of the cards in my gallery...I so appreciate it and I absolutely love your under the sea card....my first attempt at water stamping, I used the wrong kind of ink and it bled when water added to it... for this card I used tim holtz distress inks.. worked much better...love the wonderful colouring on your angel fish and the die cut sea weed... I also love the sand flower soft at the bottom of the sea... great card... great job.... tfs...

Vicky,
14 tons of gravel for your parking space - do you drive a bulldozer? That sounds like a lot - but I'm sure it's probably pea gravel and you use a lot of that for the area!
Your card is totally adorable, Vicky. I love the BG you created with the blues and added vegetation and all the pretty fishies!
