My daughter is moving across the country...so I wanted to send her a special card...thought a map showing her final destination would be perfect, an obsure place in WV, and I wanted to use my Vanity License Plate die/stamps (MFT). (I seem to be in the map mode lately!) Thought I'd use VROOOM on my license from an idea I saw months ago. I wanted to use a truck and camper (what her husband was driving across country, but it didn't fit. Then, I discovered StampHappy's license plate card...love her pennant idea and was inspired. Thanks Tammy!

As a wife of a retired career Air Force man I have 10 PCS moves in 21 years under my belt. 2 over seas and 1 remote tour....Lots of TDYs too. I always referred to myself as DEPENDABLE not a dependent ! Now my granddaughter is waiting to move with her husband and new baby (due 30 Aug) to their very first Army installation. Your words are as true today as they were when we first left home for Japan back in 1967. Military families do INDEED support the mission and the warfighter. We hold down the fort at home so our service people can keep all of us safe ! Sorry,,,didn't mean to get off on my soap box..... praying that your little family finds friends and a sense of home in their new duty station.

Your kind words are welcomed and so thought provoking! I am fortunate that my daughter's husband is a warrant officer in the Coast Guard; therefore, he has always been stateside, except for drug running/boarding out in the Pacific. Those of you who really have to "move" to keep us safe are appreciated very much!
