When I saw one of the Flourishes release challenges this week, I decided to try the challenge to make a card that "pops." I used a rolling-ball embossing tool to give the baby bassinet dimension and then popped it with 3M dimensional tape and tried to color it to add depth. (I got some tips from one of Dina Kowal's cards about this technique and used a mousepad.) I also added faux stitching and piercing and had to stamp off first to get the ink to match the paper.
Thanks so much for looking...I hope you like it. I'm also hoping to win the entire Flourishes release this month. It's amazing! I love all three sets...go take a look! (P. S. Didn't win...but I got the whole release...love it!)

So glad to see you back in the gallery, and back in a big way too! What a great idea to use the ball tool to give this texture and dimension. And I love the way the bassinet has a natural woven texture and color. Beautiful work on this pretty image.

Beautiful card Cheryl!!! Love the colours - what an awesome job you've done on the bassinet. I've been a tad absent on SCS lately but happened to spy this in your gallery on a real quick pass though today. Our DD's wedding is in less than two weeks now so I'm up to my eyeballs in wedding preparations. One of these days I'll get back to cardmaking!!! Hope all is well in your world! Huge hugs to you...

Hope you win, Cheryl! Love this sweet and delicate baby girl card. Your coloring is exquisite on the baby basket and the tiny rosebud print DP couldn't be any more apropos.
