It is just so hard to photograph glitter! I have had my Elizabeth Craft glitters for at least 2 years and I haven't done much with them. On this card I used the Be Creative double side flat sheets with the technique of using Lace as a mask. First you cut the double sided paper the size of the lace and card. Lay down the double sided tape peeling off one side and then the other and lay the lace on top of the sticky tape. Pour on the darkest Elizabeth Craft Jewel Glitter Ritz color you are using, spreading over the whole piece of lace. Shake off excess glitter and remove lace. Now pour on the lightest shade of the glitter and shake off excess. Now burnish the image. It looks like the lace and has amazing detail! I also ran a piece of the Be Creative tape through the Big Shot with the Darla Butterfly. I applied it to another Darla butterfly and then used the glitter on the remaining sticky surface. (You have to back it unless you are going to stick the butterfly directly onto your background. I wanted my butterfly to be popped up.The body was too small for this technique so I uses a glue pen and then applied glitter to it. I cut the Vivienne Butterfly in white cardstock. The "Thanks so Much" is a Clear Snap Design Adhesive (another thing I bought a bunch of and didn't use until now) and basically it is used the same way, you peel off the back and apply it to what ever you want, I used white card stock and then I die cut it with the Spellbinder Grommet Tag. I then popped it up and applied brilliants to match where the gromments are supposed to go. I used a Marianne cut and emboss folder for the top part (trimmed down) and applied a very skinny piece of the paper in between the EF and the masked lace. It looked unfinished somehow until I did that. You can't see it but I also applied Stardust Stickles (my favorite :-) to the centers of the little daisies on the EF. In the sunlight this was just beautiful...but when I photographed it in the sunlight all I got was a lot of glitter and a lot of shadows from the butterfly no matter how I took the picture! So I went with no shadows and very little glitter showing for this picture.

Beautiful, Peggy. That glitter lace is just gorgeous ... sounds like a lot of steps, but the end results is so beautiful. Love your glittery butterfly too. Lovely card!
Your card took my breath away! Even if the glitter doesn't show that much, it already looks amazing! Wow, I bet that if I see it IRL, I'd stop breathing, lol!

This is absolutely wonderful! I adore the colours and this is such a fun technique..even if it is a little messy! Finding glitter in the most awkward places????? You might want to try using coarse glitter in some places and fine in others. Gives it a whole new look.
