This card is for a few challenges - the first is for last week's Queen and fellow Dirty Dozen Alum Texas Grammy aka Bev Gerard. She's such an amazing stamper, flower maker, and creator of all things beautiful - and she's such a sweet person!! So even though I'm a week late I didn't want to pass up the chance to honor her!!
I kept the basic layout of the card - changed the colors, type and number of flowers, and card shape. I started out arranging the flowers as Bev did, but somehow in the creative process the flowers took over, multiplied and snuggled up and around the heart LOL... Thanks Bev for sharing your love of stamping - Hugs!!
This card is also for this month's Fan Club Theme - which is Summertime (the season and the song!).
Aaaaand it's for two of this year's DTGD Challenges. I love this event and would have played more had time allowed.
To make this card I used my new 18K Gold Leaf Pen which was a gift from my good friend Pam124 (Thanks Pam - I LOVE this pen!!), along with MS Punch-around-the-page, SU!'s Heart Dies, and MFT's rolled roses. However I needed one more size rose - I needed a rose smaller than the smallest MFT rose - so I made my own using Pat Smether's Blooms in a Box technique. Soooooooooo easy!! Link here: {BloomsinaBox} Thanks Pat for sharing your wonderful tricks of the trade - you're such an inspiration!! The flowers are edged in Liquid Pearls but that doesn't show in the photo. Also - there are two PATP panels glued together for the front of this card, as well as two PATP panels for the back, providing extra card strength and support. The front/back panels were then adhered at the top using score tape. It looks very delicate but is actually quite sturdy !!
Thanks everyone for peeking!
Hugs,
Audrey

What a stunnng 'I Do' card, AudreyAnn. The flowers are gorgeous and , of course, that gold leafing adds a great finishing touch. I'm sure Pam knew you would need that pen just for this card. :-) This has to go into my favorities.
