Dini's challenge made me reflect on how much I appreciate our home today. For most of our married life (20 years), we have lived in apartments. Nope, I did not just whine, lol, in fact, I was thankful for simply having a roof over our heads. We needed more space, though - it was kind of cramped with two teenaged girls, a special needs kid, my dh and me (with all my crafty clutter!) in a 900 sq.ft place. We saved like crazy through all those years, dreaming, waiting, and finally we found the house that was just right for us. So, in 2011, we finallly became homeowners! Aside from more space, what I really love about our home are the roses - the previous owner had planted plenty of rose bushes in the front and back yards, and since we are in Southern California, they practically bloom all year long!
So, there's the story behind my card (I hope I didn't bore you, lol!), the rose and daisy bouquet image is from Gem's Cottage, Honor Multi-shaper punch from Alvin & Company, half pearls from Recollections, sentiment is computer printed using the font TypoUpright BT.

Your borders line up so perfectly - that is amazing!! I love the sentiment that you put into your card, and the reflection that it caused - thank you so much for sharing your story with us! I have lived in a 900 sq.ft. house with a family of 6, and it can be very stressful. Enjoy those roses - you have earned that! I love that this challenge gives everyone a glimpse into our own lives and spaces. I'm so glad you could play along today!!
