I had started this card on Monday for Judy's challenge using pleated ribbon. It is an anniversary card for my brother and his lovely wife. They are going to be married fifty years. It was my first wedding being an attendant. It also was my first time wearing heels. I was also taller than the young man I stood up with. I felt and looked like the tall man on stilts that you see in the circus. Getting back to the card. My sister-in-law loves black and white. So I used Korin's sketch and completed the card. The first thing I did was cut out the lattice from my cricut. Adhered it to the card with the ruffled ribbon. Added the gold ribbon and bow. Gold embossed the sentiment. Added liquid pearls to the flower centers. It is not your usual 50th anniversary card.tfl

It may not be the usual 50th Anniversary card but it is the most beautiful 50th Anniversary card! This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the die-cut and the ruffled ribbon. Great story about your first wedding gig!

Linda, a gorgeous card for your brother and SIL. I'm sure they will treasure it. Congratulations to them on 50 YEARS! The lattice is exquisite...especially so with the addition of the creamy pearls. Thanks for sharing your fun memories.
