As a beach lover, it has been a fabulous week for challenges! This card was started for the TLC386 challenge, Let's Make a Beach, and it was finished in time to also use it for the WT384 challenge, Hit the Beach. And as a bonus, it also has a bit of twine, so it qualifies for the CAS179 challenge, Use Twine. It's a three-fer!!! Wahoo!
The hammock image panel was an image leftover from an earlier beach project. It was stamped, colored with copics, die cut and then sponged with blue, pink and yellow ink before it was removed from the die. The real beach detail used on this card is the sand beneath the hammock. The sand was adhered by sprinkling it over a very thin, wavy bead of glue.
The image panel is finished off with a twist of linen thread and a tiny sentiment tucked under a palmleaf brad that I found in my stash. I was so excited to find this brad because it matched the design dry embossed on the white strip. The ef was in a duo set by Sizzix called Peacocks and Leaves. Isn't it gorgeous? It's destined to become a new favorite of mine!
Thanks for looking!
