Wasn't going to play in the color challenge today, but I had purchased a pretty piece of Echo Park dp yesterday and it was just right so I decided to play after all. Sorry to say I still don't have the new In Colors yet so I had to make do with a substitute for the green. Last fall I won some pretty stamps in the HYCCT challenge prize drawing. I took some Green Galore ink from the lid and used a watercolor brush to make the tree shape on a die cut tag of Very Vanilla. I then inked my image with Versamark, Green Galore & then Wild Wasabi and stamped over the watercolored tree. I embossed in clear. I added some flourishes in Cherry Cobbler as well as spatter in both Cherry and Green Galore. I also crumpled and sponged in Cherry Cobbler. I embossed my sentiment in clear over Versamark and Cherry Cobbler and punched an oval, sponged its edges. I added sponging onto my dp and also gold gel pen highlights.

I love the use of tags on cards and this tag is so festive with its "text" tree and red swirls. It's great how it ties in with the swirls on your bg paper..glad you came out to play today Gail!

LOVE your tree! The embossed script looks so cool! And that is it on a tag is awesome too! Something about tags, I have always liked them in scrapbooking and on cards! Wonderful card!!! Love your double ribbon too!
