Would have been here sooner, but things just kept coming up! DD volunteered me to make 20 some invites for her baby shower a friend is giving for her and they are needed by Friday. Then I went over and washed windows for her to get the house ready for appraisal. The temperature outside is on the rise making pool cleaning a little tough for this old ladyÂ…Â…..AND THEN, I go to get Curt for the party and he was no where to be found!
Seems he had wondered down to the river to do a little fishing. For some reason he thinks he knows how to fish. Obviously that is not true. You see, he found a rock in “shallow” water to stand on, but then the water started rising, his line got tangled and the hook ended up in the seat of his pants! I had to get a boat and rescue that crazy cow. WHAT A DAY!.....confused???? Go here to see what’s really going on.
Quickly drew this little scene, colored with copics, the water with prisma pencils and gamsol and the clouds were sponged with RosieÂ’s Road show cloud stencil and stonewashed ink.
Just a note, I have also been asked to make a banner for the shower, so I might be late for other Teapot Parties. Scheesh! So much to do and so little time to do it! hehe .......TFL :0)

There's Curt! Where did you find him, on the American or the Sacramento River? Silly cow! I'm so happy to see you and Curt making your appearance, seems to me he needs a leash, hahaha! Okay, maybe a cowbell! I love your quickly drawn scene, Cathy!! Teapot Tuesday just wouldn't be the same without Curt and his shenanigans!!
I'm in agreement about the heat, only we're probably 10 to 15 degrees cooler than where you are! Just jump in each pool, tell them you're testing the water!

There's Curt. What a catch! I was waiting for him to show up this week. This card is great. Tickles my funnybone. Hope things slow down & you get some "me time" in soon.
Curt fishes like me! I was with some friends and we were putting the boat up to leave. It was a dusk. I cast my line and I'll never know what happened but I could hear the line. It was going around and around my neck!! Now that was one heck of a big fish I caught! Never knew Curt had such sexy legs.

LOVE, LOVE this card and the humor in it! Curt is so cute in his cut-offs! And too funny that he has "hooked" his own pants! Heehee! Thanks for the giggle; I needed it!

I hear you on the so little time!! Why does it seem to go by faster and fill up quicker as we get older, sigh...
I'm glad you were there to rescue Curt - looks as if fishing must be one of the few areas in which he is NOT an expert. Now, if he hadn't bothered trying to dress up and look the part he might have been home and dry!! Love your partial lines of stitching as well as the sweet scene they frame.
