CT0712 CENTRAL THEME: Summertime
Our challenge this month is to be inspired by the classic song: SUMMERTIME - by George Gershwin
CT0712 – Cotton is high…
I used a Google image of a cotton plant. I grew up in the south and one of the summer career opportunities for some of my friends was to pick cotton. That meant they would start school later and were sometimes behind in their work and on occasion would need to repeat a grade. They were, however, the riches kids in town. I never got a chance to pick cotton. I was always too little.
I colored the cotton plant with copics.

Ah well, at least you were never behind in your school work. Great take on the lyric - and I love the echo of cotton you created by using that die to make your shaped card!

Beautiful card, Angela, I love the addition of the butterfly and how you portrayed the song with the pretty cotton plant...I had no idea they were so lovely!

Oh this is just over the top gorgeous. My favorite card design. I think these cards are so sweet. Your image is colored to perfection and I love the shading around the flowers. Beautifully done!
