This is for the Viva la Verve July Sketch Challenge - Week 2
I spent way too much time making this card, but I'm really happy with how it finally turned out. I started Sunday evening and finally finished it late Monday afternoon. Aside from the time factor, I really enjoyed putting this card together because the Verve sketch was one I really liked, and for once I had enough extra paper that I was able to experiment with stamping and using embellishments without the worry of ruining something. Actually, that's why it took me so long to finish the card because I did make quite a few mistakes in the process and had to redo things a few times until I got it right. I always wonder how long it takes other people to make cards or whether I am the only one who needs a whole day to make one card.
Thank you so much for leaving comments. I appreciate each and every one.

It was worth all your time ... this card is absolutely perfect! Beautiful bird and verse -- I like all the colors you used.

This is so beautiful! I love the bit of lace with the three flowers and the little butterflies. Ok, good ... I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who agonizes over little details too

I'm here to tell ya that you're NOT the only one that takes a day or two or three to finish one card! Sometimes I just cannot get a card to look right, so I keep coming back trying to fix parts of it until I'm happy with it. Your card is glorious! So tasteful and elegant. TFS.
