This was the birthday card I made for my boyfriend this year. The weeks up to his birthday he was focused on his portaging trip to Algonquin Park so I wanted to tie that in to his card.
The map was found on the park's website and I printed it off the computer onto cardstock.
Coloured in the stamps with watercolour pencils and used a water pen to lightly blend them. Then cut them out, a tedious process, and embossed them with clear detail powder. Running them through my xyron sticker maker after they were dry and stuck them on. The bear was glued on with a glu runner, since I didn't want him to lie flat.
The balloons were die cut and I used Mod Podge dimensional magic to emboss them with a bubble effect. I was very impatient waiting for them to dry...
He'd been hoping for a camping theme'd card, unbeknownst to me, so was not as surprised when he saw it
Thanks for looking.
