For the Ways to Use it challenge we are to use the negative portion of a punch or die cut on our creationÂ…and youÂ’re wondering where is mine, right! This is my most often use of the negative portion of a die and I use it often. The orange brads are really the holes that are cut out of the Tiny Tags die From Cuttlebug so when I donÂ’t have a brad to match this is how I get one. You can cover it with a glaze, Stickles or just leave it plain; these are cut from sparkle cardstock so I didnÂ’t add anything to the service.
I also use these and other negative circles for small flower centers.
The duck and cloud is a digital image from Eureka Stamps. I printed the entire image then cropped the image to get just the cloud and printed it a second time so I could pop it up on the image. I used a couple layers of thick carpet tape to pop it up.
Copic markers were used to color the image: B91,93, B0000,000, YG61,63, YR02,04,07,23,C00,0,2
I used the Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting to cut the even borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site.
The EK Success Zig Zag border punch was used to cut the rick rack and itÂ’s glued to the card with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue which I also used to attach the brads cut with the Cuttlebug using the Tiny Tags dies and brad mats using a QuicKutz die.
I got the idea for the bakerÂ’s twine bow from Stampingout on Splitcoaststampers. And I was gifted the bakerÂ’s twine from Joanne/Jojot on SCS. I used AleeneÂ’s tacky glue to attach it to the card.
You can see a photo of the insert on my blog – click here
