Box pleats...and I don't even sew. I was playing with paper scraps, trying to do a pleat idea from the Oct. Stampin' Success. The paper dictated my patriotic theme. I scored then counted 9 ticks (each 1/8 of an inch) scored, skipped a tick, scored and counted 9 more ticks scored, skipped, scored. It was easy to get a rhythm going. I used some paper clips to hold my pleats and then glued them to a strip of paper. I only dotted glue on the pleats that would lie flat against the paper so the others would have a bit of dimension. The pleats were modestly painstaking, but not difficult. It's a technique I wanted to add to my repertoire. Now that I am looking at it, I can see I need to improve the centering on the pleats, but I am pleased.
