I just couldn't let it sit with the light background and grabbed the first dark red I could get my hands on... tomorrow I'll have my 8.5x11 cardstock handy instead of just small mats like I had today!

ok.... I keep staring at this.... thinking "WOW".... "how did she do this!?" BEAUTIFUL card!
This is VERY artistic, and different! I am guessing 'Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution' is the key! (I actually HAVE some of that stuff!) I MUST PLAY with it MORE!! AND.... I suppose you're gonna say you just "hand drew the words!" What talent you have!
GREAT job on the challenge!
I actually have a big old reference guide that I wrote up for a class months ago and it's now in the files at Ranger's Yahoo Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rangerinklink and I need to get around to updating it to include the mixatives and how nicely chalk inks work over it! (Many solvent inks will later dissolve/interact with the alcohol inks on some surfaces.)
And goodness no on the writing! my handwriting is atrocious! I come from a line of artists but my hands are sooo clumsy! That's why I am soooo loving stamping/scrapping... I can create something new even while I grip the pencil all wrong, etc!
