tfl: I'm also a quilter. The free for all challenge today is to use two or more dp's. Well, in my quilter's brain, that translates to using scraps. Traditionally, crazy quilts start with an irregular pentagon, and then strips are added and trimmed in a sequence. I stamped the sentiment, then trimmed it to an irregular pentagon. Then I taped on the strips. I alternated sponging and trimming with strips from the bottom of the last scrap basket until I had enough to cover a card base that I'd run through my xyron machine. I added some stamped zigzag stitches and a heart, apple, and my initial. I could have added more stamped decorative stitching, but-- Well, let's not get too crazy!
btw, I'm fussy about my sewing materials. I rarely use my sewing machine, and NEVER my fabric cutting tools, on paper.
