Ever notice how the Little Things are really the most important things? I little piece of lace, a little touch of the hand, a little smile- the kind where your heart connects to someone else in a very deep way. A little prayer whispered, without many words, and yet- the very words that reach the heart of God. Faith, a small word with a huge amount of blessing and purpose. This card is for a very special friend, one who appreciates these small things. We talk of them often, and with few words, we "get" each other. We are connected by scented candles, wee little buttons and pieces of lace, scraps of paper....and we are blessed to share faith, and that is not a little thing!
Today I used Charlene's "Love is the Thread" card because I loved everything about her design, and love that we can celebrate her talent (and heart) as Queen for the Day! Miss Charlene, you have inspired me from the very beginning with your incredible work, and your wicked sense of humor! Sending you many hugs, and a BIG smile as you are honored this day my friend!
Stitching on cards is a little thing that adds so much to paper! I learned the wandering stitch from Pat (Kokirose), and added a few other stitches on different pieces to make a quilted look. I stamped the word "Faith" from ODBD and popped up the panel over a piece intended for scrap booking.
Thanks for looking!
Edit: Just a note about the card I cased from Charlene, it is from the Dirty Dozen gallery and only Fan Club members can view this gallery- and it is totally worth $2/mo to join! See Charlene's Dirty Work, and so much more. C'mon!!! (Smile)

Oh my this is absolutely gorgeous (for some reason I can't see Charlene's card though). All your stitching is beautiful and such pretty papers. I love all that you had to say especially the part about faith - how true it is

Wow, this looks like tooled leather. The stitching is so perfect just like it is done on western leather belts. The color is such a pretty shade of leather and I love the papers. So beautifully created, Pat.

This is a beautiful card Pat!! I agree with you that it is the little things that get us through, the little things that lift us up. I believe it is the simple things that God wants for us to notice. Your card may not look simple to start with, but that may have been how it started.

This card, and what you wrote about "The Little Things", took my breath away, as this card flew into my favorites. What you did with all these "little things" adds up to a huge amount of Faith and Friendship, and all that they both mean, deep in your heart!
The stitching is phenomenal, bringing together all the 'fabrics' of our lives, love the bow with the button charm!
"The Little Things" just gave me a lot of food for thought - bless your heart for honoring Charlene with these beautiful words and card! She truly does inspire all of us!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow....and praise Him for how He flows them through you. I love how you share your heart and His in this gift with paper that He has blessed you with. Your hands and heart touch soooo many here and everywhere your steps take you. This little paper beauty looks like you spent a lovely day rummaging through Grandma's attic and all her stashed little treasures. How perfect and delightful; my heart is swelling and my smile is bright, thanks for those effects LYTTMAB
