This is for the PAT Twinchies #4 swap. It is for the Special Group- Wooden.
It is made of wood, that really thin wood you buy at the craft stores. The background is just cut from the wood, the flowers and leaves are cut out with the cuttlebug and dies. I used Bic markers for the border and coloring the flower, leaves and stem. The stem is a straw from my broom. My broom gets used for crafts more than for sweeping lately. The bow is waxed linen, and there will be a little light brown wooden bead cut in half in the center of the flower.
I designed this around an idea for having a wooden flower with a ladybug. I was going to use a dark brown wooden bead and put white dots on it. It didn't work. It looked like one of those pesky kudzu bugs we have had all over everywhere here. So no bug.

Really pretty. I like how the grain of the wood shows through. I would never have thoughgt of trying to cut wood in my cuttlebug. Good to know...thanks.
I have this image of you with this broom with half of the straw pieces missing...a far better use of a broom in my opinion
