You know how sometimes you hoard just the "right" thing? Well, the main image here is a card I have saved for nearly 30 years, and it always reminded me of my lil sis, Kathy, who is a huge encourager. To be around Kathy strengthens my faith, and warms my heart. We pray together, share family responsibility, and we laugh. When Stacy (Twinshappy) sent this lil wooden garden gate to me, I knew it was a treasure to be shared with this card.
In keeping with today's FS (to case yourself), I chose Sweet Spot, which is actually a QFTD case of one of my favorite stampers, Judy (Jaydekay). I love how Judy's scenes come to life, and this is what was needed today. Judy, once again, your talent blesses me! Thanks for the inspiration. I changed the shape of my card, using the "store" card as a template to form the three rounded edges on watercolor paper and added the leaves from my Kitty Kits set. The gates are mounted over another template, to make them fold-able, and the bg is stamped using Watercolor Minis, and the retired SU set form 2003, Spring Garden. The were stamped first, and I added Scripture from SU's Renewed Faith Set. On the left, the Scripture reads "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet he lives..." John 11:25. I love this beautiful promise for Easter.
Sissy, I love you so much!
Thanks for looking!

Pat....your card looks unreal....I mean it doesn't look like it could be made from mere paper and cardstock...it has an almost unwordly look. Pat, I think you had some heavenly inspiration while you were making this! : ) I can't begin to list what I like about it because it would be everything. It will be in my favorites forever.

Boy, when you take the time to 'rest', I should KNOW that something BIG and WONDERFUL is about to be created!! I keep looking at all the fascinating things you did to make this 'card', though I know it should be called a 'work of art'!! And you say you don't do math! HA! To construct this must have required an engineering degree, at the very least!! Can't imagine how you put this together with the gates still able to fold!! WOW!
For you to keep such a touching card because it reminded you of Kathy says a lot about the love and life you both share! I can see it in every cloud, leaf, and flower on the background of the card you created to use with those wonderful wooden gates! Bless Stacy's heart!

Oh, I hope to grow up to be like you one day - will it ever happen? I shall look in zee fruitcake'z crystal ball to see if I will ever come close to measuring up to your talent. You are SO, SO AWESOME!
