I wanted to use my new butterfly border die with glitter and had been playing with spirelli's, so I combined the two. I had also been playing with glitter, so why not continue with the sparkly stuff.
This card is sort of autumnal in it's colors, but it all worked out so well. The embroidery floss is variegated so it creates a nice look with the spirelli circles.
I used a real tacky tape behind the die cut butterflies, and added the glitter. The larger part of the spirelli's have a 10 count spacing, while the smaller ones are adjacent.

Love this! The variegated floss is perfect as it gives movement to the circles and makes them look like they are glowing, which goes along with your sparkly butterflies.

Of the two spirelli cards, I like this one best. Maybe because of the extra one in the center and the colors. I always enjoy doing the spirelli things.

This is amazing, Jennifer - I've never tried spirelli but it certainly makes a very special card, so unique and beautiful. The varigated thread makes it look as if light is shimmering off those circles!
