Today's Color Challenge includes two shades of green and a very light tan. I made this card in honor of the miracle of peace God has given this province of Northern Ireland - 26 years ago when I came to live here from the States this country was in the throes of political violence and strife which was always referred to locally as "the troubles" and many families we know lost loved ones. At that time it was inconceivable to imagine that any of the sides would put down their arms....yet they have! Not every problem is solved, but we're experiencing a level of peace here that can only be described as a miracle and everyone is very thankful! So when you watch the news and see terrible violence in far away countries...pray - He listens!
I stitched the rolling green hills and in order to stick closely to the color combo I used a color similar to River Rock to sponge the sky. I ran the same ink pad over the embossing to add definition and bordered the card edges with a MS punch which slightly resembles a Celtic shape. I love making 3-D grass and my card honoring Northern Ireland had to have some! Finished with two punched butterflies.

OMG! This is such a gorgeous scene you've created Bridget! I love the stitching on the rolling hills and the bits of grass around the side and your bricked wall frame is awesome! What a way to honor Northern Ireland!

What an amazing card. Thanks for adding your extra details why you made the card. Love the total card, but I'm most amazed at your stitching, especially around the circle. perfection. tfs
