This is for IC325 and Galleria Art's & Crafts is our inspiration site today. I was inspired by a flower painting in the Art Gallery, 14th row down by Fanny Fynebuik. http://calgarycraftedgifts.com/art.htm
I loved the shape of the flowers and the shading on the petals and I tried to recreate that on my flowers. I die cut the flowers using watercolor paper, heavily wet the paper with a brush filled with water and then dipped into a dark pink reinker and touched around the outer edges of each petal. I allowed ink to run and heled it along lightly with my brush. I heat dried each flower and then distressed with a stylus. I finished each flower with a die cut center. I die cut the foliage, distressed and sponged with green ink for shading on the leaves. I arranged the foliage on the card front around the frame and then attached the flowers. I created tiny versions of the flowers and added around the arrangement to add a little more softness. If you are intersted I have a tutorial on my blog showing the how I color washed the flowers. http://kittiekraft.typepad.com/kitti...h-flowers.html
