Today's technique challenge was the acrylic distress technique. This is so much fun, I don't know why I never tried it before! I painted a piece of cardstock with muslin acrylic paint, let it dry, then embossed butterflies with my newly purchased Sissix folder and sanded the embossed pattern. The butterflies didn't sand off too well (maybe I didn't use a thick enough paint layer) Then I used a sponging block to sponge Tim Holtz 'broken china' distress ink on the sanded part. Stamped sentiment and presto, finished!

This turned out beautifully! I had to really scrub with my sanding block to get the paint off my embossing so maybe I didn't use a thick enough layer of paint, either. Love the !colors you used.
