This is a Geography project. I received "Flat Stanley", a paper doll, from a class in Burnaby, B.C. He is here to learn about Edmonton and Alberta. A grade 3 student, Jack, made him and sent him to me.
The first thing I did was make him a parka, snow pants, mitts and boots to wear over his colourful t-shirt. They fit over his head through a slit so I did not glue onto Stanley himself.
I am going to take his picture enjoying the sights of Edmonton and area and then send back to his friend Jack who sent him to me with a self addressed envelope.
This was a response to a request in a forum. It is a great way for kids to learn about another region.

I love the outfit you made for Flat Stanley! Using embossing folders for the mittens and pants is pure genius! My children also had this project in 4th grade, which brings back sweet memories :-). Thanks for sharing.
