I got some novelty yarns in the sales for knitting scarves, and was careful to keep back a little bit for my cards; today's sketch was perfect for using some.
5 3/4" base, paper is HOTP sarapapers, with the edges distressed and sponged with Walnut Stain. The card base is also sponged with Walnut Stain.
Yarn is from Tivoli, and is secured to the paper with narrow tape along each edge.
I stamped some scraps of card with Linen and Antique Linen, then stamped Oh So Lovely and a HA sentiment in Versafine Sepia. Cut the sentiment with Labels 8, distressed the images and sponged all edges with Walnut Stain. One image is coloured with H2Os, the other has Ocean Blue Liquid Pearls to accent it. I also used the same Liquid Pearls to stamp a flourish in the top right part of the card. I'd love to add a spot of red to the sentiment panel but was afraid I might spoil it.

This is beautiful! I love the way you did the flowers and that yarn border is fantastic! And that addition of your teal flourish is wonderful...so pretty!
