Last night we had the priviledge to attend a life celebration for our friend, Chris. He didn't want a funeral but a party. He was supposed to attend but he died December 28 from breast cancer at 58. Yes, HE. The party was fabulous: a beautiful setting, music, laughter, tears, funny stories, great food, beautiful flowers and candles, people dressed up. He had so much charisma and passion for life and he was so real. I made this card for him and will send it to his wife. It was such a celebration of his life. I used my 2011 calendar featuring the art of Masha D'yans and made it a four seasons card. Her art is whimsical and colorful and yesterday's IC challenge was the impetus for using this calendar. I couldn't settle on one object, but the whimsy and color just exploded off the website. So much fun! I chose this card of Pam's to CASE. Her card focused on the background paper and the sentiment and that's what I did. Because I had a lot going on here, I made this a long card that could fit in a business envelope. Please remember to always celebrate color, nature and your life. Chris did. Thanks card for b'day present by pamshobby at Splitcoaststampers

WOW WOW WOW! Love this BIG time! So sorry for your loss but love the way you did the "life celebration". Too cool. Your card so reflects what you must have experienced at that party. Fabulous job! TFS :0).....when my dad passed away, I wore a brightly colored sweater and plaid skirt instead of all black. He loved bright colors....he would have been pleased.
