What a fun, whimsical site! I chose Jr. Pig. I had this cute little pig already colored and he seemed to be a match for the one in the inspiration. I'm also using a (flipped) version of Wed. sketch.
If it wasn't for the Splitcoast sketch challenge from Wednesday, I might not have ever finished this card. I had all the parts and pieces done and I played around for a really long time but until I arranged them per the sketch, they just wouldn't gel. Guess that sketch literally (pardon my pun) saved my bacon.
After I stamped and colored my little Romeo, I die cut then masked the image and while the die was still in place, I sponged on some neptune ink for the background. The lt blue bg was embossed w/ a border folder and the lower pink bg is piece I had left over from some long ago project. If I remember right, it was embossed w/ a distressed stripe folder, white ink sponged over the raised areas, then embossed w/ a mesh folder. Actually the reverse side looks more like mesh...this side reminds me of pigskin. The hearts down the side were stamped and I used two sizes of heart punches on them. I inked the sentiment w/ a black marker and stamped the 3 words on 3 colors of c/s then cut them out. The black strip across the bottom was punched. On the 5.50 x 4.25 card front, I stamped some hearts and another Leonard image but it's hard to see now.
Thanks so much for looking! Close ups are on the DRS blog.

You are too silly with that bacon pun Julie! The texture on the bg is great and I like your colors of blue and pink with the black as accent. ..cute way you did the sentiment by flipping the sketch.
