For this Creative Crew challenge we were to use hearts in a new way to us on a Valentine's Day project.
I had seen a neat project on Pinterest that used folded paper hearts to make designs so I thought I would try that to make paper flowers for a card embellishment. I used the Heart to Heart punch and punched out a lot of hearts from the Sale-a-bration DSP Everyday Enchantment as well as a few from Calypso Coral. I folded them all in half and then lined the tips up going around in a circle and adhering just the one side down to my card base. I used the various sizes of pearls to accent the centers of my flowers. The 2 largest flowers have the new 8mm adhesive pearls in the centers.
The background is stamped with the Fresh Vintage set from Sale-a-bration I stamped off twice before finally stamping on the Pool Party base.
The large label is cut with the new framelits and the edges sponged with Soft Suede ink.
I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig, the Valentine's sentiment from Delightful Dozen and some omitting to get the sentiment in the banner. The banner is from the Take It To Heart set and is cut out and also sponged. I added a tiny heart and pearl to tie the elements together.
We'd love to have you play along with the Creative Crew this month!

I have never seen hearts used like this, I need to try it!! I love all the details: labels framelit die, pearls, and Designer Series paper. Very pretty.
