Hooray! This is the last Christmas card I'm doing for another 6 months. I wasn't on top of my game at all this Christmas, so in July, I resolve to start making pretty tags and presents.
As a side note, I've decided to go back to Stampin' Up!, where it all started. I will continue to keep my Cindy Coutts Designs blog with non-SU product but not mention any names as not to violate the IDA. My new Stampin' Up! blog will be at Cindy Stamps in about a week but currently, I am using a temporary blog through the DWBS. My first entry is scheduled for Tuesday, December 27, as I've also rejoined the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge that I started in October 2010. I'm very happy and content with my decision. I will still submit for publications but have to get out of the rat race. A story: one magazine just put out a call the first day the kids were home for Christmas break and the deadline is when they go back to school, a whole 2-1/2 weeks to do 10 projects with 2-3 being published netting me $70-105. I am tired of being in bondage to call deadlines. With Stampin' Up!, I can hold one 2-hour workshop and make 4x the amount of money plus the free product. It was a no-brainer for me to make this decision. I still love other products out there and will continue to use them but under the guidelines of the IDA that I signed. I just can't justify blowing off my kids for a big IF.
Does this mean that you will see nothing but SU for this challenge? No. What it does mean is that I can't leave a list of products used that are not SU, but you're all very intelligent women who know everything there is to know and what product is what. I hope you understand. It was just a decision that I made that was best for my family. You can read my blog post about this if you'd like here.
The challenge will still be better than ever and I have a few surprises up my sleeve for 2012. Next week's Featured Stamper will blow your mind.
New Year. New Priorities. New Direction.
So, with all of that being said, here is my card that I'd like to share with you.
May God richly bless you and your family tomorrow and don't forget to wear the stretchy pants!
Here is a direct link to my blog specifically for this project at Cindy Coutts Designs. I designed this sketch myself. I have additional pictures for you too.
