I feel the bird needs something to ground it, but since DH decided last night that he wanted me to learn a new song from scratch for church tomorrow, I don't have a lot of time to experiment. Any suggestions received with gratitude. This is for the now not-so-little girl I used to mind, and since I won't be delivering it till Thursday I'll have time in the week to experiment. Although it does look better IRL.
My inspiration - Birdsong
A2 pearlescent pale blue base. Paper is Sassafras Lass Dreamy Blue Crush. I stamped RubberNecker's bamboo backgrounder with Perfect Medium and brushed with green Perfect Pearls. I distressed the edges, sponged with silver ink and embossed with silver EP.
Cage and bird are Spellbinders Bird Sanctuary. I embossed the cage with white EP and added some silver detailing. Bird is sponged with distress inks, and has some metallic rub-on luster on the wing for highlights.
Hero Arts sentiment, Spellbinders Double-ended ribbon tag and silver ribbon, embellished with pearls.

Your card is exquisite - just as it is! You know I love those colors you've used and that bird cage is lovely and your bird quite pretty. The banner at the top looks wonderful as well.

Wow, those Spellbinders bird die cuts are amazing! I had never seen them before. I like that you used just the blue and white color scheme; very soft and pretty.
