Wendy's Free for All challenge today is to showcase black in a holiday card. I used Spellbinders Shapabilities Layered Poinsetta die - this has beautiful embossed veins on the petals and leaves, but my photograph didn't pick it up well. I simply layered ribbon, lace and dp, sponging the edges of the houndstooth dp with black ink for more definition. What's missing on my card is gold cording - I really wanted to wrap that around about three times and have a gold cord multiple bow, but I'm all out : (

How beautiful! I LOVE black houndstooth and it looks fantastic with that white poinsettia! The lace trim just takes it over the top. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card! Into my favorites!

Oh my, I love the textile feel to this with the lace and the houndstooth print. Gorgeous poinsettia too. Hmm, maybe I'll have to try to sneak a card in before I start getting ready for a guest tonight!
