This card is also for yesterdays SC. I had to work late, so didn't have time to put it together. Rox, thanks for another fun sketch. Today, were we to use ribbon in a different way...hmmm. Thanks Michelle for stretching our minds.....my card....
For my panel #2, I printed out Mar-lee and drew the circle around him.
Inside the circle I drew pine branches and needles with micro pens and sharpies. Got the idea from a Hallmark Movie, my favorite kind of shows where things always work out.
Scored the red part then masked the circle and Mar-lee and sponged on barn door red sanding the scor'd parts after. Drew little black circles then filled them in with liquid pearls. Distressed the edges.
For the pointy edge, I cut them, then sliced each one of them, adding some glue and glitter.
Mar-lee was colored with SoHo Pencils and gamsol.
Made the ribbon/button thing. Put this all on a black AC card.
Well hope everyone is having a great fun family filled day!.....don't eat too much! hehe.......TFL :0)

Clever ribbon use, but what I really love is the way you stamped your greenery all round the circle, so it feels as if you're looking up into a leafy canopy - if you can see beyond the big moose breathing in your face, LOL.

I love Mar-lee and this happy card, Cathy!! The barn red bg you have scored and the pines in the window are a great backdrop for Mar-lee! Your loopy polka dotted flower is so cheery!!
Hey, I too love to watch the Hallmark channel movies!
