This is my second card to make using recycled materials. This is one for the Space and the No Stamps and Recycle challenges. Some time ago, I rescued some old cards from being thrown away and this bird image is from one of them. I cut it out, edged it with gold pen, mounted it on vanilla paper, sponged with pink around the image, then edged that panel in gold and glued some old lace from my Nana to the edges so they would stand out when I popped that panel up. Added more 3-D by threading some pearls from my Nana through the lace. I edged the next panel in gold and popped it up some too. I had the perfect a scrap of wrapping paper I had saved so used it for the background panel and mounted it on vanilla, then to the regal rose base. Finally added some glitter and half back pearls. Wish my Nana was still with me, I think she would like this card, but I am giving it as a Christmas card to my daughter. No sentiment on this because my daughter likes to display her cards. I'm finding I really like recycling to give something a new life. Thought it would be quicker too, but finding that I have to be more careful, because there isn't another one if I goof up! Thanks for looking!

I'm back, and just as I suspected, it IS a really pretty card. Love that these very pretty birds get a second go around! Love all you've added to make it your own. The lace and pearls are perfect and thats a really pretty matching dp. Love this. And that it is pink, I can only love it even more. TFS. : )
