Finally tried out an idea from Penny Strawberry here on SCS for the quilt star. Once I got the hang of it...I just couldn't stop What a great way to use up DSP scraps!

I got the directions from Penny Strawberry, here on SCS. These are the directions that I followed...

It's pretty easy when you get the white background put together. It is two 3 x 3 squares taped together to make the "star" shape. I used the 1 3/8 square punch for my pattern pieces. I first taped just the top of each pattern piece to the white background leaving a white border. I also go back to a card already made to make sure I'm overlapping them right. The last pattern piece is the hardest cause you have to stick it under the first patter piece. After all the pattern pieces are taped to the CS at the top I go back and tape them again so they stick to each other. I use these ahsesive squares and it makes it easy to tape together.
