Vicki's colors were truly a challenge for me today. I'm not sure how you all feel about blue leaves but I kinda like them. I combined the CAS sketch from yesterday with today's colors for my card.
Very simple today...rock and rolled leaves in turquoise and cajun, stamped the waterspots and a bit of linen bg in crumb cake, sponged some more crumb cake around the edges and used a retired SU! rub-on for the sentiment. The cajun panel is sponged and distressed and the crumb cake base is embossed with the square lattice ef. I punched leaves out of cajun cs, stamped with the leaf from the French Foliage set, sponged the edges and crumpled them up. They are popped up for today's dessert!
I love these color challenges as they stretch my creativity week after week! Thanks, Vicki!

Your card doesn't show that the colors were hard for you! As usual, your gallery entry is gorgeous!! Love the way you used it with yesterday's sketch!

Your card is so pretty!! We were both apparently thinking along the same lines. I like your embossing and how you have the beautiful sentiment on your card.

Just for the record there's a play called The House of Blue Leaves (it's a dark comedy...I actually saw it a few years ago in Mpls.) so it' not a totally new concept..lol! I think your card turned out beautiful! Sometimes you never know where your art will lead you...and I like the path yours took today.
