Challenge: Make a birthday card to bring a smile to someone's life.
A great way to use up some scraps! I cut lots of 1" squares, arranged and glued them on computer paper, then trimmed and embossed the piece using my Cuttlebug and Textile embossing folder. The center circular greeting is from The Stamps of Life set "happy2becircles". I stamped it With SU Cranbery Crisp and cut it with a Spellbinders circle die. The cranberry back piece was cut using a Lacey Circles die. Ribbon from Michaels. The GP white base card is pierced all around the front edge.

I love this technique, especially when the card (like this one) reminds me of a favorite quilt one of my grandmothers made for me. It just gives me a warm, happy feeling inside.
