This challenge was to take a long/tall card from the catalog and change two elements. Now, I MISSED that last part, and had settled on the Season's Greetings card on page 43. I know, I hear you saying this looks nothing LIKE it, though!
I really only saw two elements ON the card - the die and the ribbon. I was going to just choose a new card, for an easier design, but decided to challenge myself!
I changed the die used, first. I used the Sizzix Square Scallop die, and cut it diagonally. At first, I placed it like an envelope, but the inspiration died right there! I decided to use both pieces in a diagonal instead.
I loved the blunt edges contrasted with the scallops, so continued the theme with the greeting, lace border punch, and even the trimmed scallop circle "bellie" on the side.
