I'm finally getting around to uploading some older cards that I posted on my blog--sorry for the delay! Here's what I posted about this one at the time:
The design of this card was based on the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #39 sketch, and used the Waltzingmouse sets Rescue Remedies and Rescue Remedies Additions. The color inspiration came from the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger image for that date. I was going for a very simple, graphic card with just the primary colors in the inspiration piece. For the polka dot background, the green card stock was embossed (Swiss Dot) then the dots were brushed with Brilliance Moonlight White ink. The pennants were made by cutting the arms off a five-point orange star. They were stamped and embossed with opaque yellow embossing powder, then hotfix orange jewels were attached. Green wire was bent into a zigzag pattern and sewn onto the green background, and everything else was popped up on pop dots.
