Here is a great idea for recycling your old calendar. I work in a medical records department and receive all sorts of mail. A lady in the office who knows I’m into paper crafting brought me an envelope someone had mailed a records request in. Ahhh, brainstorm – I can do that too! Depending on what size calendar you have will depend on the size of the envelope you can make. I had a huge calendar so was able to make a legal sized envelope. I do use them frequently enough to make it worth my while. So how do you write on these? Well, use a label, sharpie, or gel pen. For the gel pen idea, be sure it dries before doing anything with it! Here are two of the envelopes I made using my butterfly calendar.

These are beautiful!! I have hoarded quite a few calendars because I love the artwork or photos...now I have another use for those thanks to you. (I have the envelope templates but I have also just taken envelopes apart and traced them as a template too). TFS
