Today we were to make faux tiles. I chose to make my tiles faux glass as in a window pane. Here is how I put my fall faux window scene together....
I used two Dreamweaver EB plates. I taped the one with the squares down over my white cs panel, then put the leaf one over top and sponged on versamark coloring with chalk pastels. Removed the leaf plate, couldn't see the leaves like I wanted so put it back on and traced around the leaves with a micro pen.
Using the inside circle of my removable tape as a mask, I rubbed on yellow part with Q-tip & chalk for a muted sun. Then rubbed on the blue in the window panes for the sky the same way. Taped all four sides of the square plate then put on translucent embossing paste. Did this all before work so it would have time to dry.
While cleaning pools, I tried to think what to put in my window scene. A cat came to mind after visiting briefly with DD. We were out side talking when I saw the kitties peaking out the window to see what was going on. hehe So I stamped this cat twice using the head so I could pop it up.
Now I needed some kind of "window treatment". So in between my pools I sketched a curtain to put on the top of my window. Seemed like a good idea. When I got home I re-sketched it. I put masking fluid on the dots then colored my curtain with re-inkers floating in the dark parts then removing the masking fluid.
Layered this with blue cs then a white AC card that I added doodle lines. This might sound like a lot of work, but it really wasn't. Had fun making it. Hope you like the results!......TFL :0)

Oh, wow!!!! I love the fabulous window scene you created!! I wish it looked like that outside of my window. It is cold, windy, rainy and just yucky. I will pretend that I am sitting in your window card instead! Love this.
