Our challenge over at Flourishes this week is to make a Halloween card. Since I don't have any Flourishes Halloween stamps I had to get inventive. I hope I can be forgiven for the travesty I committed to the cottage stamp set. This beautiful little country cottage has become Elm Street.
The only change to the stamp is I masked out the fence and reconstructed the pickets to look spooky. I added the black tree(Crafty Secrets), moon, ravens(Tim Holtz), pumpkin, grave stones(Cricut), and wrought iron gates(Cricut).
I stamped the cottage with a mask over the fence. I masked off the stamped image and cut a mask for the moon, then I daubed the sky. I stamped the tree and stamped and embossed the ravens. Then I coloured everything with copics and outlined the images with white gel pen. The fence was constructed with the boards from the fence on the stamp which I cut out.

Wow, Elizabeth, what a perfectly spooky scene you've created. Alfred Hitchcock's Birds meet the characters from Nighmare on Elm Street! Your ravens look totally real flying off in the light of the moon and, even your steps to the cottage, look spooky - all surrounded by a chilling graveyard and a spooky, noisy fence/gate (you know, the kind that creeeeeeeks) when it's opened! This is the best Halloween scene I've viewed.
