Sympathy card for my Bestie, Nat, who lost her sweet Misty last night. "Mis" was 15 years old and the sweetest dog ever. She would come stay with us when Nat was out of town, and had a grin like you wouldn't believe! (Could be she liked getting spoiled!) Nat & I often talked about how we wished people could love each other the way dogs do- unconditionally.
The rusted metal heart was a gift from my sweet friend Michele, (Mitchygitchygoomy) and I have been hoarding it for some time, knowing it would someday have a place of honor. I am happy to give it to Natalie. {{{hugs Michele!}}}
I used Photoshop to surround Mis in a garden of hydrangeas, but left her sweet face the same, even her lil eyes, clouded with age. Her photo is mounted on Spellbinders Fleur Di Lis Rectangles and added Cherry Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The mini blooms are hand made, and the instructions are HERE.
The inside sentiment simple reads "Always Friends", because that is what Mis was to Nattie.
Thanks for looking.

Oh, how sweet. I know this will mean a lot to Nat. These precious critters sure make an imprint on our hearts and take a part of our hearts with them. I am sad for Nat, makes me think of our precious Jake who went to Rainbow Bridge 4 yrs ago. Give her a big hug for me.

Oh Pat this is just precious. OUr pets and friends pets have such a pull on ones heartstrings, we get sooo attached and when they leave us it is soooo sad. I am so sorry for Nat's and Yours loss, she looks so sweet and like she could have been a lot of fun too. Beautiful framing and flowers. And what a perfect place for your heart...and the metal one too...:0) Big hugs for both of you...TFS...:0)

When my little (rescued) dog, Bogie looks at me sometimes, I truly believe that he can read my thoughts or at the very least my feelings. He is so considerate when he waits patiently for me to wake and let him know he can climb up on my lap and he appreciates me more than most people. I truly feel your loss. The beautiful memorial you have created will help soften the sadness of her passing.

Oh the wonder of unconditional love! From Misty to Nat and from Nat to Misty and then add you into the mix and what a precious love story. Your card continues the love, Pat and you will be a comfort to Natalie because you know her heart and loved her sweet Misty too.

As the "other Mom" to Misty, you know what a treasure they were to each other - this will be a beloved remembrance of that special bond they had, (and you had with her too) and coming straight from your heart, will be a treasured keepsake! Such a sweet and thoughtful friend you are!!

Wow - I can barely type this because of my tears. What a loving tribute to a special dog. I agree that people could learn so much from dogs. That love is a special love. I know this means so much to Nat. Wow you sure know how to touch heartstrings!
