This is my second card for Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for this week, to make your own embellishment, (dye your own seam binding, make your own flowers, make your own buttons or stickpins and etc.) on your creation. All the details can be seen here, ODBD's Design Blog. My hand made embellishment is the stick pin.
A close friend asked me to make, a "Girlie" card with a stick pin and a scripture of encouragement for her friend, Shirley, who was recently diagnosed with MS. This scripture is dear to me, and I know it will bring hope to Shirley. The scripture I used can be found HERE.
Thanks for looking!

This is definitely a great uplifting verse. That and the pretty serene card will definitely cheer her up. love the neat shaped die-cut and your pretty rose. Your lovely lace and pearls finish it so nicely and soften it up, great job for the ODBD challenge which i am going to go work on now...:0)...TFS..LYMI :0)

Lovely as always. I wish Shirley well. My mother's name is Shirley. Thinking of her brought a smile to my face. I beat she smiled back from heaven. Thanks for the warm and fuzzy I got from this card.

Bless your heart for making this gorgeous masterpiece for Shirley - I pray the verse will be very encouraging to her and bring her peace!
This softly colored DP with your leafy diecuts surrounding the popped up verse is, as always, remarkably accented by the flowers and that gorgeous stick pin - what a beautiful "prayer" of a card!
Hugs!

There is that gorgeous, vintage stick pin--I think you made one like it on another card. You just have such a way of taking a beautiful verse, Pat, and you pull its beauty into all the elements you surround it with. Love it MUCHLY!
