Today is Columbus Day here. For the vast majority of us, it simply means no mail. I don't even know if we should be 'celebrating' it. Anyway, in the spirit of what Columbus Day should be, I made a travel card. For the TLC, I used a crackled background and two map stamps. The colors I used reflect the CAS challenge photo, focusing on the warm browns, reds and cream. The 'bon voyage' stamp is only partial and I restamped it in brown and popped it up. To finish, since supposedly Columbus was trying to find the East Indies, I tied on a fortune cookie charm for good luck.

Good thinking on your part for Columbus day! I was wondering what that charm was; couldn't quite make it out, but it all makes sense for Columbus! Good choice of stamps and colors and very nice layout!

What a clever idea to do something referencing Columbus Day! Your choice of the crackle and maps were a good fit for this theme and that little fortune cookie is an added good luck charm!
