I saw this idea at Archivers using a Memory Box stamp. (you can get detailed information on the Archivers site). The paper is a orangy gold with a branch pattern on it. To create the pool of light coming from the street lamp I used post it notes to mask the light and then sponged around the post it notes with black ink. I used a grey maker to create a little shadow under the cat.

This is a fantastic card! I love the way you have the light from the light post spot light the black cat. I am going to have to get some of that paper and try and make this card.
Ann! I haven't seen the Archiver's site yet, but your execution of that technique is exquisite! Perfectly done. Makes me want to buy all the stamps to try it myself. I know I have a branch, some animals, but will have to look to see what I can use for the lampost. Lovely card. KUDOS to you!

This is great! You did a wonderful job with the masking and sponging. The card just has a neat overall feel to it with the image, layout, colors, and details all coming together perfectly.

Wonderfully done! just enough shadow under the cat --- the light's shadow and sponging gives it a wonderful London fog look - a little espionage perhaps! Love it! TFS!
