Hi, there! Thanks for stopping by!
so what better way to trek through the town at Halloween than in a pair of slippers fit for a princess???? - started by coloring the tongue of the sneaker and around the edges with Purple Ranger stain - works really well - color absorbs nicely!
Was playing with Elizabeth Crafts glitter and figured what a better use than for Halloween to add a little bling to a little girl's night out on the town Trick or Treating! so I had to experiment - and voila' we have some footwear fit for the romp -- and as always I got carried away.....
Used the lace technique on the front = adhered the glitter with double sided tape, laid down the lace added the orange glitter - removed the lace and added the purple glitter.
I liked the organza ribbon instead of the shoelaces to add a little more to the sylin'! Great for the treks around town.
Couldn't stop there - had to do the socks to match - you know matching accessories make the outfit! LOLOL
Put solid cardboard in the sock to stiffen it and then wrapped 2 sided tape to the sock and added the purple glitter to it....trimmed the lace with black stickles...and of course more bling needed so that i added some Orange Pearl pen around the eyelets -- just enough sparkle, bling and comfort for the holiday!
a fun project!
Thanks for stopping by!
