I had a lot of fun using yesterday's sketch, this week's color challenge colors and making a bookmark for today's Ways to Use It challenge. I can't remember ever making a book mark believe it or not! This was perfect for my brother in law's 50th card in which I'd planned to give a gift card for a book store since he's a reader. For my base piece I started with a newsprint type dp in River Rock which I stamped vintage images on then distressed. For the circle I inked the distressed Texturz plate with Soft Sued ink and ran a piece of soft Suede cs through the Big Shot...also distressed this piece. I had some SU chipboard numbers which I pressed into the Cherry Cobbler ink pad then sponged the edges and crumpled and sponged them with a bit of Early Espresso. I crumpled and sponged some torn pieces of cs to frame my circle. Here's what the book mark looks like by itself Mark's Tag by mamaxsix at Splitcoaststampers

This is awesome. I love the pocket you created and how you used this week's sketch. The sketch is perfect for tucking a bookmark into the front of the card! You are so clever.

very vintage! Love the big red letters, the old typewriter, and the distressed paper- the red and tan twine at the top is the "icing on the cake" HB to Mark!
